New Feature: Online Banking Push Notifications

It's now easier than ever to keep up with your finances with push notifications! Set up security alerts to be sent to your devices for things such as account alerts, history alerts, insufficient fund alerts, and more. This feature works on both Android and Apple devices!

Enabling push notifications:

When you log in for the first time on the updated mobile application, you will be presented with a one time "speed bump" as pictured below. This screen will prompt you to allow push notifications. If you click allow while using an iOS device, you will receive another pop-up and will need to click allow again.

Turn on security notifications?           Allow notifications on device screen

  • Clicking "Allow" will register the device ID and enable push notifications for security alerts.
  • Clicking "No, Thanks" will dismiss the page— notifications will not be enabled.
  • If you click no thanks and change your mind, no worries. You can adjust these settings inside of your online banking account later on!

Receiving push notifications:

When you enable push notifications, ALL currently enabled security alerts associated with that online banking account will be sent out via push along with any other delivery method you have selected. This is what they look like:

Manage push notifications:

To edit, enable or disable push notifications, you will need to visit the "Push Notifications" page in the NSWC FCU app.

Push notifications menu option          Enable push notifications screen          New alert set up options

  • Click on "Security Alert Settings" or visit the Alerts tab (they will bring you to the same place). Here you'll be able to set up account, history, insufficient fund, non-online transaction, and reminder alerts.

Note: Only one user can enable push notifications per device. For example, if someone else were to log into their account from your app on your cellphone, they would not be able to receive push notifications unless you disable yours. If you use more than one device to log into your account, push notifications will need to be enabled on each individual device.
