Voting in this year’s Board of Directors election is easier than ever. Instead of traveling to a branch or attending our Annual Meeting, you now cast your vote by mail or electronically at https://nswcfcu.cuballot.com!
Votes will be accepted March 19, 2018 through April 16, 2018. You will either receive a mailed or emailed ballot with the information you need to vote. We have three seats open and you may vote for up to three candidates. All ballots must be received by 11:59 p.m. on April 16, 2018. No votes will be cast at the Annual Meeting; all votes must be submitted by mail/paper or electronic ballot. The Annual meeting will be held at the King George Citizens Center on Tuesday, April 24th. Doors open at 3:30 and there will be refreshments and prizes!
|James E. Ball – has been a member of the Credit Union for the past 41 years. He is originally from West Virginia and currently resides in Spotsylvania, VA. After graduating from WVU- Institute of Technology with a Bachelor’s of Science in Mathematics, Jim proceeded to work as a Systems Mathematician for NSWC Naval Base in Dahlgren, VA. He then went on to work as a Systems Engineer for Naval Weapons for PCI and retired in 2006. He has been part of the NSWC Federal Credit Union Board of Directors since 1985 and currently serves as Chairman. Jim’s volunteer experience also includes, serving as Chairman on the Spotsylvania County School Board from 1981-1985 and as Chairman of his Homeowners Association from 1992-2017. In his free time, Jim enjoys spending time with his wife of 35 years and is an avid golfer.|
|Jack R. Bell – has been a member of the Credit Union for the past 31 years. He is originally from Kingsgate, England and currently resides in King George, VA. Jack graduated from Regents College, University of the State of New York with a Bachelor’s of Science in Liberal Arts. He served in the United States Army from 1974-1976. He served in the United States Navy from 1980-1999 where he retired as a Senior Chief Fire-Controlman. He currently works for the US Department of the Navy, NSWC Dahlgren Division, Surface Combatant Combat System Test & Evaluation Branch. He has been part of the NSWC Federal Credit Union Board of Directors since 2014 and currently serves as Secretary. He is also the Board of Director Representative on the Supervisory Committee. Jack’s volunteer experience also includes- previously holding the following leadership positions in the American Legion Post: Adjutant, Commander, and Chaplain and many activities at Peace Lutheran Church including his current position as Legal Trustee. In his free time, Jack enjoys spending time with his wife.|
|Julie K. Irving - has been a member of the Credit Union for the past 11 years. She is originally from the Washington, DC area and has resided in Colonial Beach since 2001. After graduating from Prince George’s Community College with an Associate of Science Degree in Radiography, Julie proceeded to work as a certified Radiologic Technologist for several years. She has owned and operated ClearDay Healthcare Staffing, a nationwide staffing firm, since 2001. Currently she is attending Old Dominion University, where she is completing her Bachelors of Science degree in Health Care Admin/Business. She has been on the NSWC Federal Credit Union Board of Directors since 2014. Julie’s volunteer experience includes many activities at her church, within her local community of Colonial Beach, past 4H, Girl Scouts and Rotary, and is also an active Program Advisor in numerous Radiography schools around the country. In her free time, Julie enjoys yoga, boating, yard sales and traveling.|
|James T. Venable - has been a member of the Credit Union for the past 21 years. He was born in Stuart, VA and currently resides in King George, VA. After graduating from WVU Institute of Technology with a Bachelor’s of Science in Electrical Engineering in 1996, Jim came to work at NSWCDD and worked on several programs including his current position as Program Director for Zumwalt. In 2002 Jim graduated with a Master of Science in Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech. He has previously served on the NSWC Federal Credit Union Board of Directors in various positions, the most recent being Vice President
in 2014. In addition, he served on the Supervisory Committee for numerous years before that. In his free time, Jim enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, playing golf, hiking, fishing and outdoor activities.
