Good Afternoon All:
As some of you are aware, King George County recently received a Department of Housing and Community Development Block Grant to assess the County’s broadband needs. To achieve the requirements of this grant, King George County has partnered with the Center for Innovative Technology (CIT) to conduct a needs survey designed to assess the extent to which County residents and businesses are satisfied with their current internet service, and whether broadband is desired or needed. CIT has developed an online survey for our citizens and businesses and we are asking our County departments, staff and community partners to push this survey out to everyone in your organization and anyone you know in the County via email, social media, newsletter and any other electronic communication format in order to more adequately measure the broadband needs of our community. The survey responses will provide insight into our current broadband environment, identify the needs and goals for service, and help build the business case for a potential broadband partner by demonstrating the demand for broadband services. The more responses received, the more comprehensive an assessment CIT will be able to provide.
To participate in the survey, simply click HERE and let us know how we can help make broadband a reality! The survey closes on October 31, 2017, but early submissions are greatly appreciated. Thank you and we appreciate your feedback!
